Oriental/Japanese Art

Even if you are not a collector of Oriental Art, even if you do not know this type of art, these articles are well worth reading!  I know that I laughed aloud on more than one occasion.

Articles submitted by Greyman about Japanese Art could be debatable in some circles (see Article 5 and Article 12 where you are to ask yourself if this picture is a fake!).

Should any readers/collectors wish to view Greyman's passion, the name of the place where this and many other forms of collecting and art forms may be seen at....Snowshill Manor, National Trust Property in the Cotswolds.

After some time, I have heard from Greyman again.  Please also visit his site (click here) where you will find out much more - and read about some of the ebay scams - forewarned is forearmed!

Thank you again Greyman for these articles and pictures.

A friend of many years has gone from my field of Japanese collecting where he was a declared expert on Japanese metalwork, to becoming a fine 'Metal artist'.  David Leggett is producing some astounding work in the location on the "Lizard" area of SW Cornwall. He will undertake commissions and his work can be seen in numerous galleries around Cornwall.

Jim Pratt has a web page called Shorethings - something I can relate to as it involves collecting timber which has been washed ashore, Jim creates works of art with it  .... unusual, useful and decorative!  Well worth a look!
